The Afterhours Dispatch Manager is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships, ensuring seamless, efficient, and timely delivery of goods. The successful candidate will ensure to maximize equipment and driver utilization while communicating effectively and efficiently both internally and externally to achieve high levels of service and efficiency in all Cities.

Specific responsibilities include:
Building and leading a planning and dispatch team
Leading behavioral and process change
Define and communicate clear expectations.
Develop meaningful measurable KPI and accountability for the performance.
Develop and implement transportation strategies to optimize cost, service, and quality of service.
Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods to optimize driver efficiency and hours worked.
Communicating with drivers regularly to ensure on time delivery, sending and receiving all information relevant to the driver performing his/her duties within the Company and customer requirements
Handling all driver related satellite messages or calls within assigned and overflow queues
Reporting and documenting of all customer service, planning and driver related issues to the appropriate personnel
Preparing customs clearance paperwork and ensuring it has been submitted the customs broker
Following up with customs brokers to ensure clearances are completed in a timely manner
Arranging and booking in repairs for in transit truck breakdowns

Our ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Educational background in Supply Chain Management (or other relevant area such as Business)
Dedicated experience providing customer service in a similar work environment.
Well organized, an excellent communicator and have a keen sense of timeliness.
Demonstrated attention to detail, communication, problem solving and planning abilities.
Knowledge of the transportation industry and knowledge of city geography are considered assets.
Experience using Trimble software such as TMW.
Hands on Experience creating and implementing Operational Processes.
Team Leadership - Experience in managing people.
Behavioral change management
Ability to coach individuals and create staff development / growth plans.

Night shift, evening shift
Weekends Mandate

Experience:
Dispatchers: 1 year (preferred)
dispatching: 1 year (required)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
