Reporting to the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, the Head, Investor Relations will be responsible for all aspects related to the investor relations' program.

The incumbent will actively participate in defining the communication strategy, investor targeting, ongoing relationships with the investment community, and investor meetings and conferences.

The incumbent will be supported by another dedicated investor relations colleague as well as an external IR firm.


KEY RESPONSABILITIES- Maintain and develop investor confidence and belief in the company's vision and strategy for delivering shareholder value.- Create and manage a strong reputation by demonstrating consistent and clear communication between the corporate leadership team and its investors.- Help investors make informed decisions by providing insightful information about the company's operations, financial results and future prospects.- Seek to broaden the investor base by proactively exposing the company to new investors in Canada, the United States, and to a lesser extent, internationally.- Actively participate in investor meetings either independently or together with the CEO and/or CFO.- Analyze and present financial trends, competitor behavior, shareholder concerns, and anything else that could impact the business.- Oversee the preparation for quarterly earnings calls.- Provide feedback in the preparation of quarterly and annual shareholders reports.- During times of crisis, advise management with a goal to preserve the company's relationship with its investors.


ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • ACADEMIC TRAINING
  • A Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, business communication or accounting or related field required.
  • WORK EXPERIENCE 15 or more years experience dealing with investors and a strong track record of creating positive relations with the investor community preferably in a similar industry.
  • SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the capital markets, competitor activities as well as a thorough understanding of key metrics for companies in the industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills with a variety of personalities and positions.
  • Ability to adapt the level of communication to the audience, whether it be for industry, specialists, generalists or the wider population.
  • A professional who is entrepreneurial, and has a clientminded focus.
  • Must be able to perform in a highpressure environment, and be able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Has superb written and verbal communication skills in English, and conversational French, as well as the ability to draft engaging and impactful messages for inspiring investors in North America
