Casual with Temporary Part-Time_

- ***:_As a member of the inter-professional collaborative team, the Personal Support Worker (PSW) provides direct quality and safe personal care in accordance with patient's respective care plans, under the direction and supervision of regulated healthcare providers._

Manager, Intensive Care Unit, ISU/Telemetry, Cardiorespiratory_

SALARY:_ _$27.96 to 29.55 per hour_
QUALIFICATIONS:_

-
Education:_

- _Minimum grade 12 education_
- _Personal Support Worker certificate from an accredited Ontario Community College or a Registered Private College_
- _Current BCLS certification_

Experience:_

- _Recent hospital experience preferred._
- _Demonstrates excellent critical thinking, problem solving and conflict management skills_
- _Demonstrates time management and organizational/prioritization skills._

Abilities:_

- _Ability to function as an effective team member_
- _Ability to work with a variety of patient populations_
- _Ability to take vital signs and accurately document, communicate abnormal findings_
- _Ability to perform skin assessments_
- _Ability to assist patients with ADLs such as personal care, toileting, feeding and recreational activities_
- _Ability to assist patients with transfers and ambulation_
- _Ability to report any patient difficulties with chewing, drinking and/or swallowing_
- _Ability to meet the physical demands of the position_
- _Working knowledge of or the ability to quickly comprehend the Meditech Information System_
- _Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills_
- _Flexible and able to adapt readily to a rapidly changing environment_
