Speech and Language Pathologist - Term
Under the direction of the Psychologist Lead, the Speech-Language Pathologist will:
- Evaluate and identify speech and language delays and disorders within the school population
- Develop and consult on speech and language programs
- Offer capacity building opportunities for education staff
- Liaise and consults with outside agencies, parents/guardians, teachers, and specialists
- Participate on Board and Department committees
- Perform other duties, as assigned by the supervisor
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current registration with the College of Audiologist and Speech-Language Pathologists (CASLPO)
- Two years of related experience
- Experience with administering standardized tests
- Proficiency with word processing and software packages for language development, augmentative and alternative communication, etc.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Organizational and time management skills
- Initiative and the ability to work independently
- A valid driver's license and personal vehicle
The approximate start date of this full-time (1.0 FTE) temporary position will be as soon as the recruitment process is complete with an anticipated end date of October 4, 2024.
