Job Overview


Parts technicians manage and dispense parts inventories, and may be responsible for stock handling, identifying and cataloguing parts and assemblies, ordering, receiving, inspecting, and sorting.


Key Responsibilities & Duties:


  • May include but are not limited to:_
  • Work with maintenance & other depts. to coordinate parts for repair and service;
  • Order parts and most other items required for CPM that are not office supplies;
  • Arrange and track transportation of orders;
  • Follow up with orders to ensure ETA's are met;
  • Inventory, maintain accurate records or received goods;
  • Maintain parts in appropriate storage areas;
  • Read and understand the parts catalog when looking up and speaking to specific parts;
  • Pull/fill orders from stock and maintain weekly bin checks to ensure accuracy of stock;
  • Ensure all internal requests for parts/items are on purchase orders;
  • Provide high level service to both internal & external customers;
  • Locate outofstock and new parts from outside sources;
  • Perform price comparisons for best cost;
  • Pick up the mail/parcels at the post office as needed;
  • Pick up freight from 100 Mile House & Williams Lake;
  • Arrange repairs and shipping of all parts/items;
  • Complete required documentation before disbursing parts
  • Entering all necessary information in inventory control system records;
  • Checks in parts as received, matches packing list to purchase orders, etc.;
  • Perform administrative tasks as required (includes making appts for Manager, etc);
  • Answer phone calls, provide quotes and other info to customers/other depts.;

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:


  • Valid driver's license & clean driving record;
  • Experience in the food or meat processing industries considered an asset;
  • Ability to work independently, and as part of a team;
  • Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing;
  • Strong interpersonal & time management skills;

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$17.30-$24.00 per hour
