The key accountabilities of the Logistics Specialist will include the following:

Handle Import/Export freight files from A to Z.
Problem solving skills and good judgement.
Read, monitor and respond promptly to all incoming communications in order to properly manage and control daily operations.
Ensure compliance with all CBSA, Transport Canada and other relevant government regulations.
Communicate clearly, timely and effectively with customers, overseas offices, agents, customs brokers and domestic vendors.
Verification of OBL & Payment requirements prior to shipment release.
Shipment delivery arrangements and planning.
Guaranteeing and billing of storage/demurrage for approved accounts.
Responsible for efficiently resolving customer complaints and implement measures to prevent their frequency and recurrence.
Other tasks and duties may also be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

35 years' experience in a similar role.
Strong communication and verbal skills in English and French.
Familiarity with CBSA procedures.
Excellent listening, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Excellent analytical, critical, and problemsolving skills.
