    SUMMARY OF POSITION

    The Marketing Manager, Upper Endoscopy is responsible for developing a marketing strategy for their assigned specialties, aligned with company objectives and focus areas for development. The Marketing Manager, Upper Endoscopy will lead product launches and marketing campaigns, branding and digital marketing and KOL development for their specialty while also supporting training, education and marketing events. This role will provide critical market intel by completing competitive and performance analysis while providing technical clinical support.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develops effective marketing plans and strategies to communicate with our customers and supports their needs while building the broader KARL STORZ brand and the profile of our products and offerings.
    • Executes marketing plans from inception through planning, launch, maintenance and follow-up stages.
    • Liaises and works closely with cross-functional partners like Sales, Training & Education, Regulatory and Operations.
    • Conducts competitive and performance analysis and provides key market insights to the sales and marketing teams.
    • Provides technical and clinical product support to the sales team and our customers and assist with training and education events and activities. Attends key strategic meetings, conventions, courses & labs as required.
    • Develops digital media content and overall virtual marketing approach for upper endoscopy.
    • Partners with regional and global counterparts to leverage best practices, enhance processes, and collaborate on marketing strategies.
    • Any other duties and responsibilities as required by the marketing team and management.

    • Proficient with endoscopy products, procedures, and modalities as it pertains to the surgical environment.

    • Organization, prioritization, and planning skills – ability to effectively prioritize and organize tasks, requests and work to ensure all requirements are met and commitments are upheld.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills – ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders (i.e. Customers, Sales, Business Operations, etc.)
    • Stakeholder Management – Effectively manages relationships with key stakeholders and solicits and listens to ideas and concerns.
    • Ability to always maintain a professional demeanor when dealing with internal and external customers.
    • Highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Completed University degree, preferably specialized in Marketing.
    • 4+ years of marketing experience in any industry, medical device marketing industry preferred.
    • Experience working within the organizational layers and customer segments of the health care industry, an asset.
    • Ability to travel domestically (Canada) as well as internationally – up to 40% travel may be required.
    • Bilingual (French/English), an asset.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel etc.).
