Job Summary:

NAVBLUE is looking for a SAFe Product Owner (PO).
The Product Owner (PO) is an integral part of the NAVBLUE Portfolio & Product team.

As per SAFe framework deployed in NAVBLUE:

The Product Owner (PO) is a member of the Agile Team responsible for defining Stories and prioritizing the Team Backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the Features or components for the team.

The PO has a significant role in maximizing the value produced by the team and ensuring Stories meet the user's needs and comply with the Definition of Done.

For most enterprises moving to Agile, this is a new and critical role, typically translating into a full-time job, requiring one PO to support each Agile team (or, at most, two teams).

This role has significant relationships and responsibilities outside the local team, including working with Product Management, Customers, Business Owners, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities:


More specifically in NAVBLUE, the Product Owner is a key asset turning the business / operational needs collected with the Product Management into User Stories, and then working closely with the development team to get these User Stories properly implemented as per Definition of Done objectives.

This position is open to fulfill the need for Product Owner on multiple teams.


Education:


  • Engineer or Master degree in software engineering or aeronautics or commensurate experience

Experience:


  • 5 years experience in a PO role and experience in SAFE
  • Solid experience in Software engineering
  • Solid experience in Aviation industry, noticeably Flight Operations
  • Some experience in EFB solutions, Crew and/or Dispatch

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities & Competencies:

  • Superior analytical and problem solving skills
  • High energy, driven to innovate, and a team player
  • Strongly focused and selfmotivated to overachieve goals

Communication Skills:


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to interact effectively with senior management, customers and partners
  • English negotiation level

Travel Required:5 % Domestic and International


Annual Salary:
$80,000-90,000
