Operations Specialist Job Responsibilities:


  • Manage all equipment function through group mailboxes, meeting the department KPI response time.
  • Monitor and manage equipment (Dry, Reefer and Genset) inventories against bookings while avoiding excessive equipment levels that impacts dwell time and depot costs. Push vendors to follow FIFO. Manage Buffer Stock Ratio per equipment guidelines.
  • Manage depot/rail/terminal gates based on equipment needs and Issue gate reports for equipment return locations to trucking community.
  • Manage Buffer Stock Ratio per equipment guidelines. Mange ESI budgeted equipment allocations to ensure adequate equipment levels are secured. Reconcile equipment inventories (Dry, Reefer, Gensets & special equipment) between OOCL system & vendor records.
  • Determine REPO/VEPO requirements by monitoring equipment (Dry, Reefer, Gensets) availability against actual bookings and average empty release. Coordinate empty reposition of equipment via ship, rail or truck, including triangulation with FLOW dept.
