The Position:


Specific Accountabilities:

Live our Core Values
Frontline contact for all employee relations inquiries, partner with leadership to attract, develop, retain employees
Assist with access to resources for employees
Drive employee engagement, employee recognition and other HR initiatives
Assist in promoting and ensuring all communication channels for continuous dialogue among employees, supervisors, management (Open Door Policy)
Create, facilitate programs and training in all functions within HR
Facilitate Onboarding and Induction support
Develop, analyze and action HR Metrics
Support and advocate Core Values, Performance Management, Onboarding, Induction
Disability case management and Return to Work
Employee issues investigations
Interaction with all levels of co-workers, management and external contacts
Verify quarterly effective Joint Health & Safety meetings are happening and compliant with OHSA
Demonstrate Servant Leadership
Adjust work hours, if required, for a multi-shift, multi-location operation
Continuous improvements of existing processes, systems and tools
Act within the company philosophy.




Ideal Qualifications:

Post secondary HR certification
5 years progressive HR experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience with HRIS systems, preferably ADP's WorkForce Now
Payroll experience
Demonstrated understanding of general human resources practices, policies and procedures
Demonstrated Knowledge of employment laws, Occupational Health & Safety Act, regulations and compliance
Demonstrated initiative and follow-up skills
Willing to travel between the Brampton and Mississauga plant locations
Strong leadership skills to influence, mediate conflict and coach key stakeholders
Strong written and verbal communication skills
