    Center Physician

    The Center Physician is a part-time position at Grifols Plasma Donation Center in Nova Scotia, Canada. The role involves providing medical expertise and authority to ensure donor safety and care.

    • Oversight of donor selection criteria, algorithms, and decisions in all plasma centers.
    • Consultation with Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses or Paramedics regarding donor safety and care.
    • Development and revision of policies and procedures compliant with current medical practices.

    Maintaining active MD licensure in Canada is essential for this role. A minimum 3 years' experience practicing medicine in Canada is preferred but not mandatory. Previous experience working in plasma/blood banks can be beneficial.
    This position requires regular review of donated serum protein electrophoresis (SPE) test results within specified timeframes.
    A flexible schedule allows for an ability to commute/relocate to the Halifax area if needed.
