Technical Service Advisor (TSA) - Inside Sales

  • The TSA Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for providing superior customer service and technical support to customers over the phone or in person in the focus products of HVAC. Primary responsibilities include assessing the HVAC customer Service needs promptly and efficiently, liaising with Manufacturer support for solution diagnostics, support Warranty/Return process, provide training to customers and internal team members. Secondary responsibilities will be providing support for HVAC customers order and quotation needs in all aspects of order/quotation handling._

What you will do:

  • Provide technical service support, diagnostic assistance, and virtual or onsite inspections for dealers as needed.
  • Liaison with Manufacture to ensure services and support literature is supported throughout dealer network and internal team.
  • Stay abreast of current installation and service practices with Manufacture provided training and information.
  • Host regular training both internally and externally for HVAC dealer network.
  • Completing the order process which includes offering pricing terms according to established margins; sourcing of additional products; and generating sales orders;
  • Accurately enter quotations and orders into the system;
  • Confirms details of delivery according to scheduled times and commitment dates.
  • Verifies all items are available for the customer as scheduled and obtains stocking information off the system to determine causes for discrepancies.
  • Ensure customers are provided with accurate pricing, inventory, and delivery information;
  • Required to make follow up calls to new and existing customers to maintain relationships and to cultivate additional business;
  • Preparing quotations and process orders on behalf of outside sales staff;
  • Responding to customers' requests and inquiries in a timely manner;
  • Responsible for achieving sales targets and objectives as set by manager;
  • Required to understand customer needs and promote and up sell products and offer product knowledge to customers
  • Adheres to company Safety Policies and regulations and Operational Policies;

What you will bring:

  • A minimum of two (2) years' experience in a HVAC-R sales or service role, preferably within a wholesale distribution environment
  • Technically competent in HVAC Equipment
  • Previous HVAC installation and service experience and asset
  • Must be computer literate, knowledge of AS400 system would be an asset.
  • High level of commitment to exceptional customer service; establish and maintain effective relationships with customers.
  • Knowledgeable of HVAC industry products.
  • Must have solid written and telephone skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills with both external and internal groups
  • Demonstrated initiative with the ability to work in a collaborative team based environment.
  • Highly organized in prioritizing work and multitasking; strong time management and follow up skills;
