    Who are we looking for:

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable Project Accountant to join our finance team. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial health and compliance of our projects, requiring a professional with a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage evolving responsibilities flexibly. The ideal candidate will be a proactive member of our team, supporting project managers and ensuring accurate financial management throughout the lifecycle of each project.

    What you will do:

    • Financial Project Management: Review project fee structures, set up projects in Unanet, maintain project/client documentation, and collaborate with project managers to oversee billing and revenue recognition processes.
    • Consultant Tracking: Manage consultant project budgets, track fees in line with contracts, issue Budget Lists, and process invoices for total project billing, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
    • General Accounting: Perform a variety of general accounting tasks, including managing cash receipts, monitoring cash balances, processing expenses, and executing weekly vendor payments.
    • Training and Coaching: Provide training and guidance to the Accounting Clerk, emphasizing best practices in accounting tasks.
    • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries promptly and fostering positive relationships.
    • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Ensure strict confidentiality and adherence to privacy regulations when handling financial information, safeguarding sensitive data.

    What you will bring:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    • Minimum 2 years in project accounting, preferably within the architecture, engineering, or construction industries.
    • Strong proficiency in accounting software, specifically Unanet, and MS Office Suite.
    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
    • Willingness to work in a hybrid role, with 3 days in the studio.
