two self-motivated, team-oriented experienced logistics professional to fill our Warehouse role as Warehouse Assistant to join our team.

Though based in Burnaby, some travel throughout the Lower Mainland may be required for this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Review requests for new inventory items and setup accordingly
Enter receipts
Process returns and/or transfer of inventory items
Build and maintain strong longterm relationships with external vendors and suppliers
Contribute to the development of short and longrange goals and objectives, ensuring that such plans support the goals, policies and vision of Action Electric
Analyze employee and branch usage of certain goods and services ensuring compliance with corporate policies
Review vendor invoices for pricing discrepancies and short shipments following through with the necessary corrections
Assist in the improvement of systems and processes striving to achieve best practices for purchasing
Receive shipments, verify goods, complete accurate and detailed paperwork, and enter materials into inventory software
Maintain accurate inventory count, audit semiannually
Advise appropriate person(s) when stock has been received
Provide inventory information to internal stakeholders, including business development, sales, and engineering teams
Coordinate testing of returned materials with corresponding manufacturer and local
Electricians and Technicians
Liaise with the Accounting team on a regular basis to ensure packing slips and invoices are received, and that RMAs are accurately processed and completed efficiently
Ship stock to other branch offices and customer sites as required
Work with the Project Management and Purchasing teams to ensure all project orders are complete for staging
Stage materials for electrician and technician pickup, project installation, and delivery to customer sites
Monitor consumption of consumable items and maintain stock items
Maintain current knowledge about products, catalogue information, part numbers, and required operating stocks
Work with the PTI Fleet Manager to ensure all technician vehicles are kept clean and safe operating conditions are maintained
Plan delivery schedule and route for delivery driver, act as backup in event driver is unavailable
Load and unload goods and materials
Record information on pickups and deliveries, and vehicle mileage
Operate company vehicle in a safe and efficient manner
Perform pretrip and posttrip inspections of the vehicle
Report any incidents or problems encountered in a timely manner
Complete detailed and accurate documentation
Perform other tasks as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of electrical components is preferred.
Experience as an Electrician (Apprenticeship and above) is preferred
Strong written and verbal communication, as well as interpersonal skills
Excellent service, maintenance, and troubleshooting skills
Basic computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office
Able to work independently, manage time effectively, and work with multiple deadlines
Valid Driver's License with clean abstract and no restrictions
