Description
Objective:
- To maintain the condition of all hotel & spa linen in accordance with the standards of the Old House Hotel & Spa through efficient cleaning and processing
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Insures maximum cleaning effectiveness by sorting laundry prior to washing according to fabric type, color, and item
- Pulls damaged and/or stained linen prior to loading washers
- Insures maximum loading capacity
- Loads washers and dryers to recommended weights
- Follows all health and safety standards.
- Follows heavy lifting health and safety standards
- Saves energy by setting dryers for proper heating and cooling times
- Places only proper linens in the dryer to be dried
- Operates, maintains, and cleans laundry and equipment according to property standards
- Immediately informs supervisor or management of any mechanical failures or supply shortages, so corrective action can be implemented
- Presses and folds all linen, uniforms, and other necessary articles
- Assists in delivering linen to closets and storage areas
- Other duties as assigned
Education & Qualifications:
- Flexible and energetic with the ability to work under pressure
- WHMIS training and certification an asset
- Ability to prioritize with strong leadership and communication skills
Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
Salary:
$18.50-$19.50 per hour
