The Ultra Supply Chain function manages the processes associated with Indirect and Direct Procurement of goods and materials required to meet the operational demands of the business and the logistics of ensuring that materials are available for operations, and the completed products/services are delivered to the customer.

The Logistics function in Ultra manages all supply chain logistics, which includes material planning, inventory control and distribution.

The role holder will be either

a) an entry level professional with limited work experience but with applicable education, learning skills to perform routine tasks as prescribed and with little autonomy. Works under clearly defined procedures and with close supervision. Expected to progress through a graduate career path; or


Job Description:


Reporting to the Inventory & Logistics Manager, the Inventory Analyst facilitates the Cycle Count process between Finance, Supply Chain and Production.

Works closely with Warehouse and Planning personnel to ensure inventory accuracy.


Duties:


  • Performs daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts of Finished Goods and Stores inventory,
  • Makes inventory corrections and adjustments in MRP system after performing detailed investigations. Provides backup justification to support adjustments.
  • Tracks inventory variances and investigates root causes. Makes recommendations to implement processes to correct count errors.
  • Maintains processes for customer owned inventory. Participates in stock taking audits and inventory reconciliation. Adheres to contractual requirements of customer.
  • When necessary, works with Production and Planning Departments to investigate shop floor material discrepancies including Kanban and Shop Floor raw material locations.
  • Facilitates and maintains automated and nonautomated Kanban processes and counts.
  • Works in conjunction with Production and Planning to determine best practices for parts kitting and optimal shop floor inventory levels for best efficiencies while maintaining stable supply to production.
  • Advises Procurement when discrepancies/adjustments have potential to affect production supply and procurement demand.
  • Drives initiatives to reduce slow moving inventories and to reduce days on hand.
  • Maintains counting/weighing equipment and ensures regular calibration.
  • Determines and improves counting methods for difficult to count items.
  • In conjunction with Inventory and Logistics Manager, participates and assists in the development and execution of a complete, yearly physical inventory count.
  • Responsible to monitor and process expired materials. Works with QC when required for dispositioning.
  • Participates in planning and implementing VMI programs for COTs materials to realize space and cost efficiencies.
  • Maintains all documentation for Company Processes and Company instructions as relates to their role.
  • Any other duties as required by the company.

Required Skills:


  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in an Inventory related roll.
  • Experience working with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) software.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Suite. Especially Excel.
  • Strong mathematical, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • The successful person must be able to gain the appropriate Canadian government security clearance and satisfy all requirements to be able to work on Canadian Controlled Goods projects.
  • Ability to adapt and deliver in a past paced and constantly changing environment.
  • Balance changing priorities and demanding workflow.
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds without restriction and stand/walk for long periods of time.
  • Support and demonstrate safe work practices and a healthy work environment.
