Job Description:
AECOM is seeking a
Geotechnical Engineer in Training to join our team of professionals in
Winnipeg, MB.
This position is a
full-time role
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide geotechnical project management and technical support in support of on-going AECOM projects.
- Work with other geotechnical staff in Manitoba, Alberta and Ontario and across Canada to provide the geotechnical project management and design services to current and prospective clients, and actively participate in local and regional collaborative opportunities.
- Maintain positive working relationships with client contacts, suppliers, subcontractors, engineering consultants and other external agencies
- Prepare proposals for medium to high complexity projects for various geotechnical scope of work.
- Carry out geotechnical analysis and design related to transportation, municipal, building, environmental, and energy projects.
- Oversee work performed by junior staff and EITs.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (geotechnical, geological, or civil engineering etc.)
- Currently registered or eligible for registration with Engineers and Geoscientist Manitoba as an EIT.
- 4+ years of civil and/or geotechnical experience.
Preferred Skills/experience:
- Post graduate degree in engineering.
- _ Proficiency with geotechnical software e.g., GeoStudio, Settle3D, All Piles and gINT._
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively.
- Willingness to work flexible hours under a variety of conditions.
- Willing and interested in working overtime, in camp settings, in northern Manitoba and northwest Ontario.
- Willing and interested in international work
- Experience in construction administration
- A strong commitment to safety.
- Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Previous experience working in an engineering consulting environment.
- Have strong organizational ability, manage multiple projects and deliver on time and on budget.
- Valid and unrestricted driver's license.
