The hotel is surrounded by an array of dining and entertainment options such as Toronto Performing Arts, Downsview Park, Canada's Wonderland and much more Staying for business or pleasure a variety of services are available, including complimentary WIFI, restaurant and bar, fitness center, indoor pool, sauna and underground parking.

Duties

Assist with the general maintenance and repair of building and equipment work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act by: prioritizing and responding to all guests/rooms and internal requests, promptly and effectively, as required.
Perform preventative maintenance for ice machines refrigerators kitchen equipment laundry equipment HVAC guestrooms meeting rooms the swimming pool.
Change out light bulbs; perform preventative maintenance for guest rooms to include: vinyl repair touch up paint minor furniture repair tub caulking tile repairs etc.
Perform plumbing repair laundry equipment repair preventative maintenance on all exhaust fans and supply; monitor energy conservation; repair vacuum cleaners and any other small equipment upon request.
Immediately follow up on any alarms to determine the exact location and cause determine emergency status and report to the Front Desk with findings.

Outdoor work required

Summer planting, garden and parking maintenance, Winter snow removal and shoveling.
Maintain positive internal and external relationships and communicate with internal colleagues to advise of guest service needs, items which require maintenance, issues or concerns in a prompt, proactive manner as appropriate.
Accurately maintain workorder and other tracking systems.
Ensure compliance to all hotel policies, standards, procedures and practices.
Actively demonstrate teamwork, safe work practices, open communication, accuracy in transactions, respect, sincerity, helpfulness and courtesy.
Assist other associates/ departments and undertake other ad hoc related responsibilities, as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

Technically inclined
Willing to learn
Must possess good communication and customer service skills
Additional language a definite asset for career growth
