- Work closely with the production team to foster a culture of collaboration between operations and the lab.
- Conduct lab testing on routine and ad-hoc samples to support commissioning activities.
- Maintain lab safety by adhering to safety protocols and addressing concerns promptly.
- Assist in troubleshooting lab equipment as needed.
- Manage inventory of supplies for smooth lab operations.
- Available for after-hours or weekend support when required.
- Requirements: Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Chemical Technology Diploma or Chemical Engineering Technology.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to support operations shift teams.
- Proficiency in operating lab equipment like Gas Chromatography, ICs, Titrators, Spectrophotometers, pH meters, etc.
- Strong computer skills in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with ASTM, Water, and Wastewater testing methods, ISO 17025 standard.
- Excellent networking and relationship building abilities are highly valued.
- Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure successful planning and execution of activities.
- Deep understanding of the business processes and data landscape to drive innovation and problem-solving.
- Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit required for this external role.
- Commissioning and Start-up responsibilities may involve 12-hour rotating shifts with overtime eligibility.
