We are looking for a
Financial Analyst to join our
Vaughan office.
This opportunity is a 20-month contract.
The Financial Analyst plays an integral role in the analysis and reporting for the Practice Groups.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Analysis and Reporting_
  • Perform value added analysis including creating MS PowerPoint presentations and presenting results and findings;
  • Perform and assist in the preparation and/or review of routine management reports and metrics;
  • Produce allocation reporting for various expenses.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting_
  • Participate in the annual budget and forecast process for the Practice Groups;
  • Assist with budgeting/forecasting of other allocated accounts.
  • GL Account Review and Reconciliation_
  • Perform financial analysis of various GL accounts impacting the Practice Groups.
  • Credit Card Reconciliation_
  • Perform monthly credit card reconciliations and ensure all expenses on credit card statements are accounted for.
  • Adhoc_
  • Perform adhoc analysis, reporting, special projects, and other related tasks as required, including assisting the Financial Reporting Team at yearend.

What you'll bring:


  • Completion of a postsecondary degree in a related field such as Business Administration, Accounting or Finance;
  • Working toward an Accounting designation i.e. CPA;
years of experience in accounting/budgeting/forecasting/analytical and reporting;

  • Law firm or professional services experience an asset;
  • Excellent analytic and problemsolving skills;
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint;
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written);
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Ability to handle highpressure situations and manage tight deadlines;
  • Experience with business intelligence tools, an asset.
