We are looking for a
Financial Analyst to join our
Vaughan office.
This opportunity is a 20-month contract.
The Financial Analyst plays an integral role in the analysis and reporting for the Practice Groups.

Key Responsibilities:

Analysis and Reporting_
Perform value added analysis including creating MS PowerPoint presentations and presenting results and findings;
Perform and assist in the preparation and/or review of routine management reports and metrics;
Produce allocation reporting for various expenses.
Budgeting and Forecasting_
Participate in the annual budget and forecast process for the Practice Groups;
Assist with budgeting/forecasting of other allocated accounts.
GL Account Review and Reconciliation_
Perform financial analysis of various GL accounts impacting the Practice Groups.
Credit Card Reconciliation_
Perform monthly credit card reconciliations and ensure all expenses on credit card statements are accounted for.
Adhoc_
Perform adhoc analysis, reporting, special projects, and other related tasks as required, including assisting the Financial Reporting Team at yearend.

What you'll bring:

Completion of a postsecondary degree in a related field such as Business Administration, Accounting or Finance;
Working toward an Accounting designation i.e. CPA;

years of experience in accounting/budgeting/forecasting/analytical and reporting;

Law firm or professional services experience an asset;
Excellent analytic and problemsolving skills;
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint;
Strong communication skills (both verbal and written);
Keen attention to detail and accuracy;
Ability to handle highpressure situations and manage tight deadlines;
Experience with business intelligence tools, an asset.
