Job Description for Bioanalytical Scientist position:
- LC-MS/MS R&D, theory, operations and fine-tuning of current assays.
- Manage both clinical and preclinical studies / projects following SOPs,
- Supervising 2 or more analysts per project.
- Skilled in plasma and serum and other tissue extraction.
- Planning, overseeing, and reporting results of research projects within projected study timelines.
- Develop and validate analytical methods for determination of different chemical entities and their properties, such as small molecules.
- Provide Preparation, documentation and maintenance of test solutions and standards.
- Maintain wide variety of analytical and process equipment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ph.
Demonstrated experience in drug metabolism and pharmacokinetic (DMPK) studies, as well as ADME assays in drug discovery is an asset.
- M.Sc. in Bioanalytical Chemistry or Biochemistry with minimum 5 years project management, preferably within the CRO industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of Bioanalytical Chemistry.
- Experience running pharmacokinetic studies and analyzing pharmacokinetic data.
- Demonstrated expertise with assay qualification and process optimization.
- Expert in LC-MS/MS bioanalysis particularly using Waters LCMS/MS TQD.
- Strong report writing and communication skills - bilingual (French and
- In-depth knowledge of bioanalytical analysis, analytical instrumentation, and current industry regulations.
- Able to work within a team structure and effectively communicate with colleagues at all levels.
- Proven research track record as evidenced by a strong publication and/or patent record.
- A problem solver with strong ability to generate, interpret and present scientific data.
- Goal oriented team player.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, and constantly seeking creative solutions to challenging problems. Excellent oral and written communication skills
