Description

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the dispatch department
  • Coordinate and schedule transportation activities, including fleet management and transportation management
  • Utilize Oracle Transportation Management system to optimize shipping and receiving processes
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry of transportation information into the system
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth flow of operations
  • Monitor and track shipments to ensure ontime delivery
  • Resolve any issues or delays in transportation operations
  • Maintain effective communication with drivers, customers, and vendors
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in dispatch or transportation management is required
  • Proficiency in using transportation management systems, such as Oracle Transportation Management or SyteLine
  • Familiarity with 3PL (thirdparty logistics) operations is preferred
  • Strong data entry skills with attention to detail
  • Knowledge of AS400 system is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fastpaced environment
  • Proficiency in using phone systems for communication

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Brampton, ON L6W 3K2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- dispatching: 2 years (preferred)

  • Day Shift (preferred)
  • Night Shift (preferred)
