Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated full time Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers while maintaining a welcoming and efficient environment. Your role will involve preparing and serving a variety of beverages, ensuring food safety, and providing outstanding customer service.

Duties

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and espresso drinks according to established recipes and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station, dining area, and equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Handle cash transactions efficiently, including processing payments and providing change.
• Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all customers.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
• Continuously learn about new products and techniques to enhance your skills as a Barista.

Skills

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with patrons.
• Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods effectively.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing.
• Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations in the food industry.
• Previous experience in cashiering or food service is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
• A passion for coffee and eagerness to learn about different brewing methods and beverage preparation techniques.

Requirements:

● Able to work weekends and weekdays

● Excellent customer service skills, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

● Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

● Motivated and creative team player

● Ability to multitask

● Ability to work individually and as a part of a team

● Basic understanding of cash handling

● Previous work experience as a Barista is an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.85-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
