Join us at the Ministry of Health, in the Emergency Health Program Management and Delivery Branch, where you will lead the development of facility project plans that address corporate facilities initiatives, services and programs, and meet business needs.


The Ministry


The Ministry of Health is responsible for administering the health care system and providing services to the Ontario public through such programs as health insurance, drug benefits, assistive devices, care for the mentally ill, long-term care, home care services, community and public health, health promotion and disease prevention.

It also regulates hospitals, operates psychiatric hospitals and medical laboratories, and coordinates emergency health services.


The Branch


The Emergency Health Program Management and Delivery Branch is responsible for ensuring there is strong operational alignment between all land and air service providers, healthcare service providers, municipal partners and First Nation communities.

What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role, you will:

  • Provide input into capital, operational and business plans
  • Coordinate the implementation of concurrent accommodation and leasing projects
  • Provide technical advice and consultation to ministry and agency clients
  • Participate in the development of new or changing ministry policies, standards and guidelines (e.g. security policy, ministry accommodation standards, space utilization guidelines)
  • Identify, report on, and contribute to the resolution of issues
  • Prepare reports and provide input into tracking and reporting

How do I qualify?

Project Management Skills

  • You have experience working on projects and contributing to planning and coordinating activities
  • You can identify efficiencies and options in accommodation planning

Analytical, Research and Problem-Solving Skills

You can:

  • Conduct environmental scans and provide analysis on trends, and economic and market conditions, and identify risks and/or opportunities (e.g. efficiencies, costsaving opportunities, etc.)
  • Identify issues, determine options and work collaboratively on issues resolution
  • Set priorities and ensure deadlines are met

Interpersonal and Communication Skills

You have:

  • Consultation and collaboration skills to work with management and staff on projects and issues
  • Interpersonal and customer service skills to provide advice, support and assistance to client program areas
  • Written and presentation skills to provide information and draft a variety of documentation and tracking

Technical Knowledge

You have:

  • Knowledge of facilities planning and management
  • Experience working with legislation and policies
  • Knowledge of marketplace trends and issues regarding accommodation planning and facilities management

Salary Range:
$66,484 - $92,950 Per Year

  • 1 Temporary, duration up to 12 months (with possible extension), 5700 Yonge St, Toronto, Toronto Region
