- Prepare, design, and implement course activities to support and encourage students' learning of concepts related to "exercise physiology in health and disease" in a face-to-face educational setting.
- Deliver in-persons classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9:35AM-11:25AM.
- Design, implement, manage, and fairly evaluate diverse assessments in accordance with the course's learning objectives.
- Administrative duties related to the assigned course grade submission).
- Hire, train, manage, and supervise one teaching assistant (TA).
- Communicate promptly and respectfully with a diverse body of students, both in person and via technology email, video meetings, etc.), with the aim of enhancing students course experience.
- Work collaboratively with other faculty members to ensure consistent and effective delivery of instruction.
- Use course-specific Brightspace sites to communicate with students about course-related matters, and to enhance the delivery of instruction.
- Create safe, respectful, inclusive, and welcoming learning environments so that all students — including under-represented groups — feel supported and valued.
- PhD in Physiology or related field.
- Prior experience teaching exercise physiology courses at the post-secondary level.
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness and/or evidence-based teaching at the post-secondary level.
- Ability and motivation to deliver high-quality in-person instruction.
- Ability and motivation to communicate effectively and respectfully with a diverse body of students.
- Ability and motivation to create safe, respectful, inclusive, and student-centered learning environments.
