Responsibilities:


  • Implement control, speed, and quality required on daily Finance operations to meet Finance department KPIs, SLAs, drives business results and exceeds customer expectation.
  • Supervise and mentor the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions (45 people) to ensure a timely and efficient process that is focused on meeting targets.
  • Monitor and enhance internal financial controls to ensure the accuracy of the financial reporting, prevent fraud and prepare compliance reports for Cermaq Group.
  • Review monthly expenses per department and provide analysis on variance against budget, forecast and previous months.
  • Take major role in month end preparation, execution, analysis, and submission to Cermaq Group in timely and accurate manner. Reports include but are not limited to balance sheet, profit& loss, cash flow and various supporting submitted to Cermaq Group according to the corporate calendars.
  • Managing and able to execute balance sheet reconciliation and profit&loss analysis.
  • Responsible for various detailed analysis and projections involving both financial and biological data.
  • Take major role in managing annual budget and quarterly forecasts processes. Expected maximum in 1 year time to be able to manage the overall process independently.
  • Provide strong work Integrity. Promotes a positive workplace that treats all persons with respect and dignity devoid of discrimination, bullying and harassment.
Knowledge and Skill

  • CPA designation or a combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of four years management experience in a similar role with midsize organization.
  • Prior experience working with budget and forecasting.
  • Intermediate in Excel and Microsoft savvy.
  • Proven interpersonal and communications skills that drive results.


This position is based out of the Campbell River Head Office and works Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with some flexibility required.
