Small Engine Technician

Summary

NEW GRADUATES and EXPERIENCED TECHNICIANS WELCOME Don't pass up on this great opportunity to build a business division and work with a driven team at one of Canada's Best Managed Companies Clarington Home Hardware Building Centre is a full-service Stihl Dealership Small Engine Technicians at our store are responsible inspecting and testing engines and motors to diagnose and isolate faults, adjust, repair or replace parts using hand tools and equipment.

They also educate customers on the benefits of certain makes and models that best suit their needs.

Core Competencies Small Engines

Minimum 1 year experience in small engine repairs;
Physically able to work on your feet for extended periods of time;
Safety compliant person;
Strong attention to detail;
Reliable;
Able to work days, evenings and weekends;
Can navigate a computer, create a purchase and sale order;
Wage to be determined based on work experience.

Job Responsibilities Small Engines

Test and adjust repaired equipment for proper performance;
Perform scheduled maintenance service on equipment;
Advise customers on work performed and condition of equipment;
Maintain inventory of small tools and equipment;
Use software program to order parts from vendors;
Clean and wash equipment;
Keep work area clean and organized;
Other duties will be assigned as necessary.

Additional Responsibilities

Ensure department is well organized and clean;
Order parts and products for stock and special order as necessary;
Other duties as requested by the General Manager.

This position reports to the
General Manager.
