The Strategic Communication Partner is a seasoned communication planner and generalist who will work as a dedicated partner (account manager) for the Alberta Energy Regulator's (AER) People, Culture, and Learning (PC&L) branch. The PC&L team is dynamic, collaborative, and in full building mode as it leads the way in advancing one of the AER's four strategic pillars – Taking Care of our People. You will define, develop, and implement strategies and plans to engage diverse audiences and measure effectiveness against communication, engagement, and performance objectives.

    • You engage and negotiate with leaders, colleagues, and technical subject matter experts in your client groups to understand needs and opportunities. You ensure consistent, timely, and accurate communication internally and externally, creating alignment, fostering collaboration, and identifying opportunities for integrated messaging within the organization.
    • You build an annual strategy for your clients that aligns with branch and operational plans and projected delivery requirements. Subsequently, in concert with other Engagement and Communication experts, you lead the development and implementation of initiative or campaign-based communication plans in support of strategic objectives.

What we're looking for in you:

    • If you need accommodation during any stage of the recruitment process, please email . Information relating to the need for accommodation and accommodation measures will be addressed confidentially.

    What we offer you:

    • Great benefits from your first day of work
    • Flexible Work Program - hybrid work and flexible hours
    • Defined benefit pension plan
