McSween is currently seeking exceptional individual to join our team as a Corporate (HSE) Manager.If you're a highly motivated, energetic pro-active leader with strong leadership, organizational and communication skills, seeking employment we would love to hear from you.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage the health & safety program including development of safety policies & procedures
- Demonstrate exceptional safety leadership inline with Mcsween values while ensuring compliance with all government regulations
- Facilitate risk assessments, which may include project risk assessments
- Work with all departments to identify critical risk controls and develop achievable action plans to mitigate risk
- Participate in incident investigation and facilitate root cause analysis techniques
- Manage safety information systematically to ensure it is readily accessible, comprehensive, and quantifiable
- Identify potential improvements in the safety management system and strategies for implementing them
- Play a key role in emergency preparedness and response
- Identify and establish emergency preparedness requirements
- Supervise and assist health and safety training, respiratory, fit tests, and D&A testing
- Manage the input and documentation required to maintain an approved status with all safety compliance companies
- Ad-Hoc Safety Reports
- Any additional tasks assigned by senior management
Certifications:
- Certificate in occupational health and safety
- National Construction Safety Officer Designation
- Canadian Registered Safety Professionals Designation
- Minimum 58 years' experience working in a safety management role
- Tap root investigation certification
- Train the trainer certification
- Leadership for Safety Excellence certificate
Safety Training Required:
- H2S Alive
- Confined Space
- CSTS0
- Fall Protection
- WHIMIS 2015
Shift:7:00am - 4:00pm May require additional hrs. as required.
