As a member of VCA Canada, VAERC is a rapidly growing Emergency and Specialty Hospital offering Emergency, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Ophthalmology and Cardiology services.

VAERC has had a four (4) decade presence in Vancouver and we moved to our state-of-the-art facility in July 2016.


Position Overview


The role of the Client Care Specialist (CCS) is to strengthen the client, animal, veterinary bond through exceptional client service and education.

Your role is vital to the success of our hospital You are the first and last point of contact and have the ability to leave a lasting impression building trust and loyalty with our clients.

Your responsibility is to enhance the client's experience by coordinating between the clients and members of the medical team. Your primary goal is to ensure the clients and their pets feel welcomed, expertly cared for and appreciated.


Desired Attributes and Requirements

  • Prior experience in customer service and administrative duties
  • Prior knowledge/or ability to learn medical terminology
  • Exceptional client service skills
  • Empathetic, nurturing and positive attitude
  • An ability in prioritizing needs, adaptable and open to change
  • Initiative and are able to carry out assignments independently
  • Above average time management skills and you pay attention to detail
  • Previous veterinary experience or you have graduated from an accredited Veterinary Assistant Program is preferred, but not required
