Role Summary

To repair and troubleshoot equipment and machinery efficiently, safely and in accordance with the electrical codes.

**The successful candidate for this role will work at our new Magna Structures Heart Lake facility located in Brampton, ON**

Key Responsibilities

Provides support for the testing, repairing and calibration of electric and electronic components
Develop control drawings and design concepts
Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics
Maintain and upgrade PLC software and assist in training Team Member's on electric equipment, where required
Respond and support all electrical maintenance requirements within the department
Know and understand process documentation and customer specific requirements, as they relate to the job function
Establish and follow-up project implementation, including timing, concept, feasibility, design, specifications, construction and commissioning, as required
Provide support in troubleshooting, repairing and making system improvements (optimization), to ensure quality and efficiencies within the department
Identify root cause of equipment failures and follow-up on feasibility of modifications
Perform preventative maintenance to defined schedules
Assist and support in all other technical areas, where required
Ensure all operator safety devices function properly on completion of repairs, modifications and installations
Maintain a clean and environmentally safe workshop and production lines.
Perform other duties as required

Key Qualifications/Requirements

Valid Electrician license
Minimum 5 years' experience as an Electrician
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills
Working knowledge of electric circuitry consisting of relays, PC and PLC logic
Hands-on experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical theory
Basic machine shop skills (i.e. lathes, grinders, milling machines)
Ability to use programming devices for troubleshooting and modification of program
Ability to perform basic wiring work, conduit bending and control cabinet wiring
