JBH is also a partner member of the Burlington Ontario Health Team (OHT).


Responsibilities:


  • Clerical functions of Health Records includes, but not limited to:
  • processing patient charts
- filing and retrieving charts
- filing late reports
- reception duties
- answering phones
- communication with Doctors regarding chart completion


Qualifications:


  • Postsecondary education in a medical terminology or health information or equivalent required; knowledge gained through past experience.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a Health Records environment required.
  • Qualified applicants must possess word processing computer experience in a hospital information system.
  • Previous experience using Meditech is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated accurate filing and typing skills with typing speed of at least 40 w.p.m. is required (testing will be conducted).
  • Medical terminology and accurate spelling is required, with thorough attention to detail.
  • Strong command of the English language.
  • You must be able to work independently in a busy environment with good public relations skills while maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks and work independently is essential.
  • Demonstrated reliable attendance, punctuality and performance
