Position Overview

  • Vantage is looking for a Manager to lead the accounts payable function and team for its rapidly growing North American operations. The Manager, Accounts Payable will be responsible for leading an efficient, unified, and successdriven team, and will also oversee change management as this sharedservices functional team is scaling. In an organization operating at highspeed and high complexity, being apt at fostering a culture of collaboration, open communication and growing the skillset of teammates is essential. Developing, publishing, and acting on KPIs will be necessary.
  • Fruitful business relationships are critical at Vantage, hence the Manager will not only coach, mentor and develop the team handling the daytoday financial activities of the organization, but will also evaluate, assess, propose, and implement improvements to the current systems, processes and working methods in order to even better operate as a fast growing, worldclass organization and ensure uniformity of the service to our suppliers.


Essential Job Functions- Leads and coaches a team of up to 8 Accounts Payable Specialists covering the United States and Canada Manages the entire recurring vendor payment cycles process, from vendor creation and compliance to cash disbursement requests Develops, deploys, publishes and monitors key performance indicators Acts as an ambassador for the accounts payable function within the organization; supports and collaborates with internal teams and, creates and publicizes documentation about the team's service offering to the business Improves systems and processesDuties- Coordinate the payment cycles and make efficient use of AP tools and systems to ensure supplier invoices are efficiently processed Monitor invoices in workflow systems to ensure accurate data entry and sufficient approvals Develops and maintains guidelines for proper handling, coding and work flowing of invoices to ensure adequate approval and maintain general ledge expense tracking Manage the expense report process, tool and employee reimbursements Ensures compliances with laws, internal policies and contracts with suppliers Promote a strong culture of customer service and cooperation within the team Train, oversee, coach, develop, provide assistance to and evaluate the performance of team membersJob Requirements- Bachelor's degree in accounting or general management, or equivalent academic credentials 7-10 years of experience in a similar management role within a large, complex and fast-growing organization's Finance team Real estate or construction industry experience, preferred but not required Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with many simultaneous priorities from time to time Ability to "roll up one's sleeves" and collaborate with process participants in solving issues Excellent leadership, good coach, good management of priorities, meticulous, team collaborator, great communicator, flexible, good ability to develop the capacities of employees, analytical Skilled at using various ERP and invoicing systems, and with technology in general Knowledge of Yardi Voyager, preferred but not required Proficient in the Windows and Office 365 environment Travel: 10-20% of the time between the Denver and Montreal offices Bilingualism (French and English) is desired for this position due to the nature of the role requiring daily interactions with Finance Department whose stakeholders are located in the United States, and that the only common language to communicate with them is EnglishWe operate with No Ego and No Arrogance.
