    About the team

    Scottish Forestry (SF) is an agency of the Scottish Government, responsible for forestry policy, support and regulation.

    �The Conservancy is responsible for promoting, controlling and regulating all aspects of woodland management throughout the South of Scotland. Working closely with partners it leads on the delivery of the Scottish Forestry Strategy (SFS) Implementation plan. The Conservancy covers the Dumfries and Galloway and Borders local authority areas and the southernmost areas of Ayrshire.

    �Our South Conservancy is one of 5 within Scottish Forestry. The main office is located in Dumfries and there is an area office in Selkirk. South Conservancy has a team of 28 staff.

    �Our Case Support Team is made up of 4 Case Support Officers located in Dumfries with the Case Management Officer, and 3 located in Selkirk with the Assistant Office Manager.

    Job description

    What you will do

    �The Case Support Team plays a key part in providing support to the Conservancy across a range of tasks.

    �You will provide administrative support for the Conservancy's Grants & Regulations function and also an information and enquiry service to agents and the general public. You will also assist with general administration and/or finance to provide support to the Operations Team, Case Management Officer and Office Manager to ensure that business needs are met.

    Experience

    Essential:

  • Experience of working in an office environment, in a team providing support to a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience of planning, organizing and managing workloads
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages such as Outlook , Word and Excel
  • Desirable:

  • Previous experience of grants and regulations administration
  • Strong numerical skills
