Program for adolescents and adults

RESPONSIBILITIES

Acts as a coach towards his peers and the community;
Responsible for and participates in the elaboration and implementation of training;
Takes the SOD's place when needed;
Ensures group supervisions;
Mentors other clinical counsellors (levels 1, 2 and 3);
Ensure that the quality of care provided is appropriate and consistent with the policies and procedures within the organization;
Concentrates all tasks and activities towards the security and wellbeing of the residents;
Participates to the elaboration of intervention plans;
Sees to the pursuit of individual therapeutic objectives that have been determined in the intervention plan;
Collaborates to the evaluation of the resident's global needs;
Ensures that the resident's environment corresponds to their needs and favors their rehabilitation and wellbeing;
Participates to the revision of programs in collaboration with the relevant employees in the organization;
Verifies observation reports, evaluation reports, behavioural summaries and all other required documentation;
Take on the responsibilities of the Unit Manager when they are absent;
Participates, when required, in case supervisions;
Perform other related duties at the request of his immediate superior.

REQUIRED PROFILE

College Degree (DEC or University degree) in a related field
Hold an ICADC (International Certified Alcohol and Drug Counsellor) by the CACCF (Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation) or be in the process of obtaining the certification;
Passed the Portage exam for level 4 counsellors;
Minimum 5 years experience in intervention and crisis management;
Experience with a clientele with substance use disorders in a community setting or therapeutic community
Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written);
Microsoft Office knowledge: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint;
Have a valid driver's license;
Experience in a communitybased environment and/or the therapeutic community;
Demonstrated interpersonal and teamwork skills;

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Job Type: permanent, fulltime, 37.5 hours per week
Schedule: day and evening shift (rotation), week and weekend
Salary: to be discussed according to experience
