Program for adolescents and adults

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Acts as a coach towards his peers and the community;
  • Responsible for and participates in the elaboration and implementation of training;
  • Takes the SOD's place when needed;
  • Ensures group supervisions;
  • Mentors other clinical counsellors (levels 1, 2 and 3);
  • Ensure that the quality of care provided is appropriate and consistent with the policies and procedures within the organization;
  • Concentrates all tasks and activities towards the security and wellbeing of the residents;
  • Participates to the elaboration of intervention plans;
  • Sees to the pursuit of individual therapeutic objectives that have been determined in the intervention plan;
  • Collaborates to the evaluation of the resident's global needs;
  • Ensures that the resident's environment corresponds to their needs and favors their rehabilitation and wellbeing;
  • Participates to the revision of programs in collaboration with the relevant employees in the organization;
  • Verifies observation reports, evaluation reports, behavioural summaries and all other required documentation;
  • Take on the responsibilities of the Unit Manager when they are absent;
  • Participates, when required, in case supervisions;
  • Perform other related duties at the request of his immediate superior.

REQUIRED PROFILE

  • College Degree (DEC or University degree) in a related field
  • Hold an ICADC (International Certified Alcohol and Drug Counsellor) by the CACCF (Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation) or be in the process of obtaining the certification;
  • Passed the Portage exam for level 4 counsellors;
  • Minimum 5 years experience in intervention and crisis management;
  • Experience with a clientele with substance use disorders in a community setting or therapeutic community
  • Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written);
  • Microsoft Office knowledge: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint;
  • Have a valid driver's license;
  • Experience in a communitybased environment and/or the therapeutic community;
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and teamwork skills;

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Job Type: permanent, fulltime, 37.5 hours per week
  • Schedule: day and evening shift (rotation), week and weekend
  • Salary: to be discussed according to experience
