Program for adolescents and adults
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Acts as a coach towards his peers and the community;
- Responsible for and participates in the elaboration and implementation of training;
- Takes the SOD's place when needed;
- Ensures group supervisions;
- Mentors other clinical counsellors (levels 1, 2 and 3);
- Ensure that the quality of care provided is appropriate and consistent with the policies and procedures within the organization;
- Concentrates all tasks and activities towards the security and wellbeing of the residents;
- Participates to the elaboration of intervention plans;
- Sees to the pursuit of individual therapeutic objectives that have been determined in the intervention plan;
- Collaborates to the evaluation of the resident's global needs;
- Ensures that the resident's environment corresponds to their needs and favors their rehabilitation and wellbeing;
- Participates to the revision of programs in collaboration with the relevant employees in the organization;
- Verifies observation reports, evaluation reports, behavioural summaries and all other required documentation;
- Take on the responsibilities of the Unit Manager when they are absent;
- Participates, when required, in case supervisions;
- Perform other related duties at the request of his immediate superior.
REQUIRED PROFILE
- College Degree (DEC or University degree) in a related field
- Hold an ICADC (International Certified Alcohol and Drug Counsellor) by the CACCF (Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation) or be in the process of obtaining the certification;
- Passed the Portage exam for level 4 counsellors;
- Minimum 5 years experience in intervention and crisis management;
- Experience with a clientele with substance use disorders in a community setting or therapeutic community
- Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written);
- Microsoft Office knowledge: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint;
- Have a valid driver's license;
- Experience in a communitybased environment and/or the therapeutic community;
- Demonstrated interpersonal and teamwork skills;
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Job Type: permanent, fulltime, 37.5 hours per week
- Schedule: day and evening shift (rotation), week and weekend
- Salary: to be discussed according to experience
