The Chair is a time-limited position years), supported by generous donations from the Ivey Foundation and Rosamond Ivey. With the expiry of the Chair the appointment will revert to a regular faculty position.

The Chair includes a 1.0 credit (50%) annual teaching release, a substantial budget for research and knowledge mobilization activities, and funds for student support.

Qualifications:

- a PhD in public policy, political science, other relevant social science discipline or academic field with a focus on sustainability transitions,
- an outstanding record of research and peer-reviewed publications relating to the governance of sustainability transitions, relative to stage of career,
- established knowledge of the Canadian political, economic, and social context,
- evidence of the ability to collaborate with external partners (e.g. industry, government, First Nations, non-government organizations) to advance the research area and sustainability transitions,
- a record of high-quality teaching and supervision, appropriate to stage of career, and
- a capacity to attract external research funding.
