Data Center Operations - Data & Analytics Manager


Job Summary

Responsibilities
Reporting Operations

  • Lead initiatives to provide data sets, services, and infrastructure to help our business stakeholders make sound, datadriven decisions
  • Partner with the wider DCS business, both internally and functionally to drive a unified approach to data requirements to assist in senior management decision making
  • Automate reports and dashboards out of Equinix's DataMart environment using Tableau
  • Continuously evaluate existing tools and processes to propose solutions to improve or simplify outcomes
  • Manage daytoday operations of the DCS data reporting team including task prioritization, resource/equipment planning, and reporting
  • Manage, track and report team operational performance metrics to ensure that individual/team goals are met. Helps prioritize tasks that come to the team simultaneously.
Product Roadmap Ownership

  • Own the overall reporting development roadmap to evolve a cohesive set of product offerings that meet the needs of our broad user base, including New data replication and ingestion, prioritization and coordination with the DataMart Infrastructure unit, continuous enhancements of standardized reporting products, among others
  • Coordinate monthly and quarterly reporting activities across production, control, distribution, and business support including, Equinix's Quarterly Operating Review (QBR), DNA Insights Products, Orbis dashboards and selfservice tools, and other reporting solutions
Stakeholder Management

  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communications within and beyond functional track
  • Know the business environment well enough to identify and proactively include the correct stakeholders to consult in driving key enrichment decisions
  • Interacts regularly with senior management level stakeholders, and demonstrates value realized in the reporting operations process

Qualifications

  • Strong analytic skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
  • Clear thinking / problem solving: successfully led IT projects/process improvement within operations/finance function involving process improvement; able to quickly grasp new ideas
  • Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex financial information in an easytounderstand manner; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in managing a team
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics preferred
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience using BI and reporting tool such as PowerBI and Tableau

Bay Area:
$111,000 to $185,000 per year

  • California (Non-SF/Bay Area), Connecticut, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Washington state: $104,000 to $172,000 per year
  • Colorado, Nevada,

Rhode Island:
$94,000 to $156,000 per year


Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.
