We are a local based Restoration/general contracting company operating in the Lower Mainland looking for an Administrative / Office Assistant to be a key part of our team.

To be successful, we are looking for a confident and punctual professional to own their role. We require someone with strong attention to detail skills, ability to multi-task and work with a sense of urgency.


Job Duties Include but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for invoicing and daily tracking routines
  • Provide assistance and support to the Managers
  • Verify and approve time clock entries
  • Maintain and organize files, both physical & digital
  • Maintaining and updating databases, contact lists, document files and tracking excel spreadsheets
  • Process payroll and maintain accurate records
  • Determine and establish office procedures and routines
  • Maintaining accounts receivable and payable via Quickbooks Online
  • Order office supplies and maintain inventory; maintain overall office cleanliness
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies
  • Oversee and process cheques; hand written and printed
  • Generate reports as needed for management review and financial analysis.
  • Assist with HR tasks as needed

Requirements:


  • Minimum of 2 years experience in office administration or clerical role. Preferably in a Construction setting.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (Fluent in English)
  • Previous experience processing payroll and paying taxes is essential.
  • Well organized, detailed/accurate, strong analytical, problemsolving and planning skills with a willingness to learn and take initiative
  • Ability to prioritize workload, be proactive, and work independently
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online or other accounting software is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated high standards of ethics and confidentiality to handle sensitive information
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, polite phone etiquette

Job Type:

Wage:
$20 - $26 (depending on experience). Extended Health Benefits after 3 months' probation period.


Working Days:

The office hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.
