    About the Role

    This full-time on-site role as a Site Superintendent involves overseeing and coordinating construction activities, maintaining project schedules, managing sub-contractors, ensuring quality and safety control, and communicating with involved parties.

    We seek an experienced Construction Site Supervisor with multi-project experience to work closely with a team of professionals on commercial industrial renovation or interior fit-out projects.

    Responsibilities

    • Create strong relationships with trade contractors, consultants, sub-trades, designers, and clients.
    • Maintain project scope, budget, and time in line with client schedules, ensuring trade contractors meet established performance and quality standards.
    • Anticipate issues and embed solutions in plans/schedules, resolving problems effectively and timely.
    • Ensure worksite cleanliness and enforce Ministry of Labour regulations and O.N. Site Construction Safety Policy.
    • Perform hands-on demolition, carpentry, and general construction support as required.
    • Communicate with Project Managers on issues and progress.
    • Reports to Senior Management.

    Qualifications

    • 3-5 years of construction supervision experience.
    • Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Architectural Science, or Engineering.
    • Commercial Industry or Interior fit-out experience.
    • Thorough understanding of architectural and mechanical drawings.
    • Strong knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and project specifications.
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Effective problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
    • Current knowledge of Ontario Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
    • Ability to read blueprints and construction documents.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

    Working Conditions

    • Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends on a project-specific basis.
    • Occasional travel out-of-province for projects.
