ACCOUNTING ANALYST

FINANCIAL RESOURCES

NATURE OF THE WORK


The position of analyst encompasses, in particular, responsibility for the analysis, development, coordination and control of systems, methods, procedures and programs pertaining, among others, to administrative organization and operations, communication structures, data processing by computer or by other means and the rational use of school board resources.


SOME CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES

  • Support all educational establishments and administrative services with any questions related to budgetary management, supply and management of accounting operations;
  • Participate in improving internal controls, procedures, policies and propose recommendations;
  • Develop staff training courses on the use of financial systems;
  • Functionally supervising the work of support staff in their sector and ensure compliance with related deadlines. Verify and approve the accounting entries of your sector;
  • Participate in the preparation of the 3rd quarter and endofyear audit files.
  • Participate in the preparation of financial statements, notes and additional information;
  • Design, develop, maintain, produce and implement accounting and financial management tools adapted to the needs of the Service;
  • Participate in the development of the school service center budget;
  • Prepare various types of financial reports for management;
  • Perform all other tasks related to their position

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

A bachelor's degree in an appropriate specialty, notably:

  • accounting.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS AND PROFILE SOUGHT

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite software: Word, Excel (advanced level), PowerPoint, and ACCESS (intermediate level).
  • Knowledge of GRICS software: Dofin, Achat, Avant-Garde, GPI, an asset.
  • Demonstrates a strong capacity for teamwork and has a capacity for analysis and synthesis allowing them to manage several files simultaneously.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and demonstrate a spirit of decision illustrated by concrete achievements.
  • Bases her professional relationships with those around her on respect, openmindedness, commitment, fairness, and transparency.

SCHEDULE:
To be discussed, 35-hour week.


SALARY:

As per the collective agreement for professionals, from $ to $ on an annual basis, according to qualifications and experience.
