Dream Legacy Foundation seeks a Project Outreach Assistant to support its activities. This is a unique opportunity to create impact and make a difference


Main Purpose of the Job:

The Project Outreach Assistant will work directly with the management team.

You are a bright, ambitious, extroverted individual who can help us take our outreach efforts to the next level To be successful in this role, you should have experience coordinating and executing support functions, strong networking abilities, the ability to host workshops online or in person and be naturally service-oriented.

You also have expert capabilities with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Drive, Excel, Canva, Monday, Adobe, Salesforce and Mailchimp are required. Previous experience working with Black or other marginalized communities is a bonus


A General Program Outreach Assistant is typically responsible for supporting outreach efforts related to specific programs or initiatives within an organization.

Their role is to help increase awareness, engagement, and participation in the programs through various communication channels. The specific duties can vary depending on the nature of the programs and the organization.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Support the planning and executing events or activities related to the programs, including workshops, seminars, webinars, or community outreach events.
  • Collaborate with the marketing or communication team to create promotional materials, brochures, flyers, and other collateral to effectively convey information about the programs.
  • Maintain databases of contacts, participants, or stakeholders related to the programs for outreach purposes.
  • Assist in following up with participants, stakeholders, or interested parties to answer inquiries, gather feedback, and encourage continued engagement.
  • Manage and update social media accounts related to the programs, sharing relevant content, and engaging with the online community.
  • Conduct research to identify potential partners, collaborators, or opportunities for program outreach.
  • Metrics and Reporting:
  • Track and analyze outreach efforts, providing regular reports on the effectiveness of different strategies and suggesting improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and relevant stakeholders to ensure a coordinated and effective outreach strategy.
  • Gather feedback from program participants and stakeholders to assess the impact of programs and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide support and training to individuals or groups involved in outreach efforts, such as volunteers or community partners.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and organizing documents related to program outreach.
  • Represent the organization and its programs at community events, meetings, or conferences to enhance visibility and build relationships.
  • Stay adaptable and responsive to changing needs and circumstances, adjusting outreach strategies as necessary.

Qualifications:


  • A bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, business, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in program outreach, marketing, or a related role is preferred.
  • Experience in event coordination and management is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to craft compelling messages for various communication channels.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, particularly in coordinating events and managing databases.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for document creation and data management.
  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software for maintaining contact databases.
  • Experience with social media platforms and social media management tools for effective online outreach.
