Job Description:


We are looking for a dynamic Intern Analyst to join the
Corporate Communications team in CPP Investments'
Public Affairs and Communications ("PAC") Department in the
Toronto Office.


Financial and Investment Communications:


  • Our financial communications activities demonstrate our commitment to public accountability through open and transparent disclosure, similar to that of a public company. We disclose financial results of the CPP Fund on a quarterly basis, within 45 days after the end of the threemonth period, and report our fiscal year results, ending March 31, through a detailed Annual Report and other yearend activities targeted to key stakeholders.
  • Our investmentrelated disclosure serves to further enhance CPP Investments' reputation and demonstrate our commitment to transparency. We partner closely with deal teams across the organization to develop robust communications plans and disclosure materials.

Commitment to Canadians

  • As part of our commitment to public accountability, CPP Investments uses our website and digital social channels to explain who we are, what we do and how we invest to stakeholders and to our 21 million contributors and beneficiaries.

Media Relations:


  • The Media Relations team is focused on building and deepening relationships with key media globally. The Media Relations team assesses and manages hundreds of inbound media requests from all over the world annually. We pursue the high impact opportunities, instances where we believe participation could bolster CPP Investments' brand and further business goals, protect our reputation, and also work constructively with media.

Responsibilities:


  • Participate in planning and execution of enterprisewide communication programs, including support for external announcements and recurring events
  • Support Global Corporate Communications team by working on media pitches, transaction press releases, media monitoring and tracking coverage.
  • Plan and manage social media content, targeting varying key audiences (Canadians and international investment professionals).
  • Develop and execute engaging content, with a focus on highlighting investment industry insights.
  • Help update, track and organize risk assessment documents.
  • Support the production of CPP Investments' quarterly results reporting.
  • Build and update media list databases
