We are currently seeking a Service Delivery Manager in Vancouver, and we need your skills, passion, and dedication to lead our team and assume ownership for delivering high quality IT services to our provincial government clients.

Your future duties and responsibilities

  • Collaborate with various Development and Business teams, providing input and delivering solutions that support various business initiatives
  • Proactively identify opportunities, conduct analyses/needs assessments and cost/benefit assessments with the goal of improving IT operations
  • Work with multiple partner groups to identify business priorities
  • Assess current and future workload demands and articulate operational priorities and supply constraints (staffing / infrastructure resources)
  • Identify, document, and implement operational processes that continually improve IT service offerings
  • Correctly interpret and adhere to the business contract and operate within committed governance processes
  • Deliver all services within established schedules, budgets and standards, ensuring SLAs are met each month, complete with timely status reporting, risk mitigation, issue resolution and escalation as required
  • Manage the daytoday client relationship
  • Establish relationships with key clients and associates
  • Execute on programs, projects, investment plans and business cases to meet strategic objectives, as well as ensuring key operational metrics are maintained
Required qualifications to be successful in this role

  • Five plus (5+) years in a technical management / leadership role in an IT operations organization
  • Strong experience managing small and large number and complexity of systems
  • Experience with Incident Management and facilitating Problem Management activities
  • Experience presenting to Senior Executives or Clients on IT Operational priorities
  • Track record for successful project management and financial management
  • Experience managing local and remote Data Centres and staff (desirable)
  • Experience supporting and implementing ITIL v2/3 (desirable)

Education

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Diploma in IT with equivalent IT experience
