Responsibilities:
The Production Coordinator will support the Production Manager by:
- Driving a culture of creativity, innovation and continuous learning.
- Developing schedules/plans to ensure the efficient running day to day operations.
- Ensuring team is following safe practices and awareness of hazards to prevent injuries to team members.
- Involved in continuous improvement plans/objectives in manufacturing plant.
- Focusing on, on time delivery of orders in an efficient and costeffective manner by coordinating proper planning and effective communication on delays.
- Understanding and suggesting future needs of staffing, equipment and jigs/fixtures to meet existing and future customer demand.
- Providing clear and accurate information on lead times to understanding of capability of meeting capacity and company objectives.
- Ensuring team is meeting deadlines and priorities and making necessary adjustments as required.
- Following company quality standards, procedures, policies, deadlines, etc., and supporting resolution of any issues.
- Working closely with supporting teams to ensure necessary support of the manufacturing plan.
- Streamlining and reducing wasted activities/functions.
- Establishing schedules and evaluating the execution of plan.
- Investigating, identifying and reconciling planning issues.
- Understanding inconsistencies that effect team functions.
- Ensuring organization and sustaining of manufacturing plant using 5S principles.
- Understanding of equipment maintenance schedules and planning down time accordingly for that maintenance to take place.
- Following policies and procedures related to manufacturing plant.
- Ensuring team is accurately inputting data related to SAP into the system and supporting education of team as needed.
- Understanding and strong knowledge of part number structure and inputs affecting their processes to ensure correct outputs of product and service.
- Ensuring BOMs reflect accurately the build of product and notifying engineering and inventory teams (CSR as needed).
- Working with various departments and maintaining flexible attitude in supporting all work dedicated to achieving organizational goals.
- Working towards achieving the company objectives and making suggestions for improvement to management.
- Having a strong product, process knowledge and helping to troubleshoot unexpected scenarios to ensure mínimal downtime.
Required Work Experience:
- Diploma in Supply Chain, Materials Management or Operations or equivalent or minimum 2 years professional experience in Production Coordinator type role
- Proficient knowledge in SAP
- Strong computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel & MS Project)
Qualifications:
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Comfortable in mentoring less experienced employees
- Selfmotivated and excited by the prospect of working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Strong data analysis skills, and proficient in the use of statistical tools in problem solving
