- An RVT, with a minimum of 3-years of relevant industry experience is preferred.
- Licensed, or eligible for licensure, with the ABVTA and registered with the ABVMA.
- Practical experience should include small animal nursing skills with dogs, cats. Practical experience with large animals such as horses, cattle, and sheep is an asset.
- Familiar with standard laboratory procedures.
- Familiar with computer programs, i.e. Google docs, spreadsheets, slides, online learning.
- In addition, the successful candidate will be flexible and have strong communication, interpersonal and listening skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and students.

The School of Life Science and Business has full-time and part-time temporary/casual opportunities available for Instructional Assistants in its Veterinary Technology Programs. These positions would commence in April 2024.
Key Job Functions:
The focus of these positions is to assist and support instructors in the classroom along with hands-on instructional support in a variety of courses in the Veterinary Technology(VT), Veterinary Medical Receptionist(VMR) and the Veterinary Technical Assistant (VTA) programs. The successful candidate(s) will be expected to have a varied background in Veterinary Technology.
