- Work with our preferred technology stack (Elixir, Phoenix, Phoenix LiveView, Kafka, gRPC, PostgreSQL)
- Design and build APIs and Kafka producers/consumers,
- Participate in and at times lead the design, architecture, and delivery of new features in a collaborative agile environment.
- Collaborate with other teams and various stakeholders to build integrations with other internal services.
- Setting up monitoring and alerting with DataDog, Bugsnag, PagerDuty, Splunk
- Providing technical leadership within the team.
- Participate in our team's on-call rotation
- Work on a service that processes thousands of events a second as part of an app that handles 10,000's of concurrent users.
- Experience as a Senior Engineer or you're ready to take that next step
- You are able to help set the tone for the team, helping others grow while helping set and reinforce best practices and good habits. This is a technical leadership position and requires an ownership mentality, not just great coding skills.
- Ability to bring a project from conception to production, including leading early design, working with Product and others to make it a reality, and setting up dashboards/monitoring..
- Experience with modern web frameworks, API development, and automated testing.
- Familiarity and experience with relational databases.
- Knowledge of application performance, scaling patterns, and troubleshooting in production environments.
- Experience building observable systems and understanding what it means for something to be "ready for production"
