Under supervision from the Operation or Branch Manager, the individual ensures that all orders are delivered to customers, the necessary paperwork is filled out accurately and all vehicles are maintained.

PRIORITY IS DELIVERIES IN CITY. Must wear steel toed footwear daily.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Deliveries:


  • Must have a valid drivers license and clean record
  • Maintains a complete and legible drivers' log of all the days' deliveries in daily delivery log. Shipping receipt must be signed and the delivery log must state who the product was left with as well. Due to COVID, you can right the name of the person receiving the product on the shipping receipt.
  • Perform quality control on in town orders. Double checked and corrected in Navision.
  • Check orders that are ready for deli_v_ery, box appropriately never to heavy to lift, never pack cans on their sides and clip the tops of cans so lids do not pop off.
  • Load delivery vehicle always last delivery first
  • Coordinate your deliveries to expedite based on efficient routes, urgency and geography
  • Ensures orders are delivered to the correct customers and customers sign off on every order.
  • When delivering to body shops always your mask on following the health line guidelines and sanitize your hands before and after delivering at each body shop.
  • When you are dropping off at the body shop you are to get products to customer and get out as quick as possible, smile as you are a representative of Color Compass Corporation. ALWAYS THANK your contact for their help.
  • Communicate all delivery or order concerns with order desk and operation managers
  • Treat all orders as a priority and getting it delivered to them quickly, showing customers we provide excellent service
  • Any maintenance and service required on the delivery vehicles communicate to Operations Manager or Branch Manager

Warehouse:


  • Helping maintain workplace security and safety for Covid prevention
  • Help answer the telephone before it goes to 3 Rings
  • Shipment coming in checking in paperwork and stocking shelves. MUST check stock for expiry dates as you check in.
  • Shipment arrives with damage from transport company must make notes on the Bill of Lading before Trucker leaves and take pictures, notify the front of the damaged shipment so paperwork can begin on the claim
  • Breakdown cardboard boxes for recycling daily crush empty cans, removal of pallets arranging or calling. Advise Operations Manager when barrel of waste is full for disposal
  • Helps keep the shipping area clean and organized.
  • Pick orders and transfers as the need arises and time allows, through the course of the day always maintaining the double check before product leaves Color Compass procedures
  • Keep warehouse errors to a minimum such as picking.
  • When preparing the boxes for shipment always remember to never pack it to heavy to lift and bottom could let go, never pack cans on their sides and clip the tops of cans so lids do not pop off.
  • During the employees 8 hour shift they are expected to be physically capable of performing the following tasks repetitively throughout the day: lifting heavy loads (Up to 75 lbs), climbing up and down stairs and ladders to reach goods, pulling and / or pushing wheeled carts or floor jacks with goods, and walking around on cement floor.
  • Maintain a tidy work environment both inside and outside the premises. This includes but is not limited to emptying garbage at the end of the day, sweeping, pouring off paint, changing light bulbs, tidying stock shelves, etc.
  • Effectively communicate problems or issues to the Operations Manager, and or Branch Manger
  • Fully stocked shelves with inventory pulled forward
  • Call the Transport Companies and the courier companies you have a shipment ready to leave your facility with the proper paperwork filled out as per Dangerous goods documentation.
  • Advise counter staff of back orders on the order you have picked
  • Transfer orders from your location check in Navision 4 x a day and get the requests filled and ship the transfers in Navision as well as physically ship out. Before shipping and your stock will be very low have a discussion with the Operations Manager on qty that the other branch is requesting to send out
  • Daily Transfers must be pulled and shipped to the appropriate locations.
  • Sweep and cleaning floors and bathroom weekly
  • Helps in the warehouse putting away stock and keeping shelves clean and organized
  • Completes any paint mixes as required and notify front counter if you used any additional toners to make that mix as the toner needs to be transferred in Navision computer system.
  • Plays an active role in all perpetual counts that occurs within the branch
  • Participates in the year end inventory count.
  • Participates in bi weekly perpetual counts
  • Help with counting monthly paint room weights time permitting
  • Empties the garbage at the end of every day.
  • Any other duties as required.

Requirements:


  • Forklift Certified
