The Role
Reporting directly to the Manager, Research & Development, the Research & Development (R&D) Technician will work closely with the Production, and R&D Departments on a regular basis.
What You Will Do
- Cutting insulation for our products (catalyst pads: explosionproof and high performance).
- Preparing filter cartridges (FloDri) for customers.
- Working within the Production and R&D department and reporting to the R&D Manager.
- Communicating with the Lab staff about daily production workload.
- Obtaining the job orders from your supervisor and synchronizing them with Lab production volumes.
- Maintain weekly inventory count of catalyst pads (explosionproof and high performance), FloDri cartridges as well as raw materials needed for their manufacturing.
- Periodically check Lab equipment if it is maintained in safe working condition.
- Assisting production floor staff with troubleshooting.
- Work with the Lab staff and other departments including Quality Control, Engineering, Purchasing, etc.
- Must work safely together with Lab staff in compliance with applicable health & safety legislation and company safety procedures & requirements.
- Report any potential health & safety hazards to your manager.
- Regularly wearing appropriate PPE's while preforming those tasks.
- Maintaining clean Lab environment and workstation.
- Attention to details and quality.
Knowledge & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Material handling experience
- Able to lift 30 lbs. and perform light physical work
- 13 years experience in a production environment
- Knowledge of the parts and materials used to produce Cata-Dyne product lines, is an advantage
- Able to perform in a highvolume, resultsfocused work environment.
