RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop civil designs, drawings and specifications, both independently and as part of a team of engineers.
- Meeting and building relationships with clients.
- Coordination with our drafting staff and designers for the successful completion of project deliverables.
- Design and drawing review for completeness and accuracy.
- Project support through all phases of development including design development, codes and standards compliance checks, tender support, site instructions, shop drawing and site reviews.
- Field inspections to determine asbuilt conditions for compliance with associated documents and complete field reviews of construction projects as needed;
- Foster a spirit of enthusiasm and client focus.
- Surveying
- Drafting using AutoCAD Civil 2D and 3D.
- Compaction and Concrete Testing
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma in civil engineering technology from an accredited college.
- C.Tech or C.E.T Designation (or eligible for obtaining within 1 year).
- Knowledge of hydraulic analysis and stormwater analysis.
- Familiarity with Roadside Design Manual
- Familiarity with OPSS and OPSD's
- Able to multitask and meet various project deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic with a strong desire to learn and succeed.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is required.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver's license required.
Pay:
$30.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 per week
