_We are looking for a Shop Coordinator for our Cambridge, Ontario facility.
JOB PURPOSE
To assist shop supervision in time keeping and labour upload of shop employee hours.
Day-to-day management of shop floor employees including: processing of time and attendance, absenteeism, input of overtime / overtime refusals hours, distribution of reports to enable running of the shop as per the collective agreement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Time & Attendance
- Ensure daily accuracy of processed time and attendance.
- Clear error file daily as well as ensure all overtime worked has been authorized.
- Correct all variances and posted hours to Payroll.
- Enter all request to bank hour forms in Shop Tracker.
- Participate in month end deadlines with Payroll ensuring accurate and complete data.
- Correcting and corresponding with Payroll regarding shop pay issues.
- Upload labour hours into SAP daily.
- Review and correct any errors.
- Review and correct variance reports provided by Finance & Accounting.
- Run variance reports daily to ensure any adjustments are communicated to the shop supervision.
- Participate in month end activities with Finance & Accounting to ensure accurate, complete and timely reporting of hours.
- Advise shop supervision of errors in a timely manner.
- Track labour upload issues to ensure corrections are timely.
- Upload labour once corrections have been provided.
- Escalate any issues that have not been addressed to the Manger of Operations for timely resolution.
- Ensure all overtime hours are approved.
- Monitor and assist shop supervision to control allocation of overtime in accordance with the collective agreement.
- Update the overtime tracking report on a weekly basis.
- Send updated overtime report to the shop supervision each Wednesday by 10am per the collective agreement.
- Run reports to assist the shop floor:
- Refused Overtime Report.
- Shop Tracker error Report.
- Variance Reports.
- Request to Bank Statutory Holidays to accounts and Finance/Payroll.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1 to 2 years experience in an office setting working at a quick pace with numbers.
- High School Diploma.
- Ability to interpret a collective agreement.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Word and Excel including Pivot Tables, VLOOK UP and data tables.
- Knowledge of SAP is an asset.
- Able to influentially communicate requirements.
- Multitasking, organizational and communication skills.

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
